Kristen is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and has completed a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a postgraduate program in Autism and Behavioral Science. 

 

Kristen is an advocate for mental health, physical wellness, and empowering others through a variety of professional modalities. She has over three years experience working with children and adults with Autism and has volunteered on a local distress and crisis line. She has seen first-hand the profound impact of forming genuine relationships, building resilience, and providing emotional support and encouragement. 

 

Kristen aims to build trust, compassion, and collaboration with her clients. She works hard to understand all aspects of the client’s life and values the importance of the therapeutic relationship by creating a space that feels warm and nonjudgmental. Her priority is to help the client achieve their goals and facilitate healing and growth while having self-compassion at the same time. 

 

Kristen is trained in Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Complex Trauma (CCTP/CCTP-II). She works with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, exploring emotions, self-esteem, work or academic stress, relational challenges, suicide ideation, grief, and trauma. Kristen works with all ages including children and adolescents.

I am very passionate about physical fitness and movement!  Every week I look forward to coaching local CrossFit classes and getting outside with my dog.
