Valentina is a Registered Social Worker and Child & Youth Care Practitioner, who is committed to providing a safe and nourishing environment where your voice is heard and cherished. Valentina believes everyone has a story to be told and views herself as a partner in your journey.

 

 As a clinician, Valentina bases her practice on building a safe and inclusive space by utilizing various therapeutic approaches. Her wide range of clinical experience has focused on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Compassion-Focused therapy, and Anti-Oppressive Therapy. Therefore, each session is tailored to meet the client’s needs and goals.

 

With several years of experience, Valentina aims to provide clarity by building a strong foundation of trust, positivity, and understanding. Valentina’s experience ranges from working with adults at region-based addiction treatment centres across Ontario to supporting adolescents and families facing child welfare involvement. Her practice is focused on breaking down barriers and supporting individuals who face challenges in their everyday lives.

 

Valentina has graduated with a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care degree specializing in Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University. In addition she holds a Master of Child and Youth Care Degree from Toronto Metropolitan University. Her profession is her passion in which she is dedicated to supporting you throughout your journey.
